Silvio Tavares

Silvio Tavares is the founding CEO and President of the Board of Directors of The CardLinx Association. Prior to this role, he was the Global Head of Information Products at Visa Inc. He led Visa’s Global Information and Data Analytics business comprising Global Risk & Authentication Products, Loyalty Solutions, Media & Advertising Solutions, Business Intelligence and Decision Sciences.

Before joining Visa, he was Senior Vice President and Division Manager for First Data’s Global Information & Analytics business. In that role, he was general manager for First Data’s analytics, merchant reporting and First Data Advisors divisions. Among other key innovations, he established and patented First Data’s flagship SpendTrend macro-economic indicator.

Earlier in his career, Tavares was a Director and Head of Financial Technology Investment Banking for ABN AMRO in London where he led successful fund raisings and IPOs totaling over $10 billion. He Joined ABN AMRO from the law firm Shearman and Sterling where he practiced corporate finance law, primarily representing large European financial technology companies and banks executing capital raising transactions or acquisitions. He began his career at AT&T as an engineer where he authored one of the earliest business method patents for web based payments.

Silvio obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Tufts University, an MBA from Boston College and a Juris Doctor degree from the Boston University School of Law. He is a member of the New York Bar and has authored over fifteen patents in the field of electronic payments, card linked offers, digital advertising and payment analytics.

Neal is the General Manager of Microsoft Earn. He leads Microsoft’s card linking initiatives and leads new initiatives to increase consumer engagement and monetization.

Prior to this role, Neal was Chief of Staff for a number of Microsoft initiatives including Bing Local, Bing Mobile, Bing Maps, MSN, and Local Ad products.

Prior to Microsoft, Neal was a pioneer in the voice recognition industry. He launched IBM’s voice recognition products, he founded two companies that commercialized voice self-service, and for Microsoft he created the industry’s first voice search service.

Marushka Bland is the Global Director of Payments Marketing for Whole Foods Market. In this role, Marushka oversees all aspects of mobile payments, card-linked marketing, prepaid sales, gift cards and other payment promotions for Whole Foods, the world’s leader in natural and organic foods with 455 stores in North America and the United Kingdom. She is also a member of the Global Marketing and Communications Team.

Prior to Whole Foods, Marushka worked at Hello Fresh and Heidrick & Struggles. She started her career as an attorney with law firm Chadbourne & Parke. Marushka received a J.D. with honors from Emory University School of Law and a B.A. magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania

Cassie Boutelle is the Vice President of Loyalty Products for FIS, the world’s largest provider of retail payments and banking technologies.

Cassie specializes in retail and financial institution loyalty products as well as emerging payment trends. Her latest efforts have been focused on the convergence of both of these areas via point of sale engagement opportunities, data sharing, coalitions, and other opportunities for partnering together to drive mutual successes. Recent accomplishments include winning PYMNTS.com 2016 POS Innovation award and Pay Before’s 2016 Outstanding Loyalty Program.

As the loyalty rewards industry continues to evolve year after year, she sees more brands and financial institutions understanding the benefits of reward programs, such as increased spend and increased consumer insight via customer data. Today’s consumers are savvier than ever and wanting more from their retailers and financial institutions, looking for more incentives to drive where they shop and which card they use. Cassie sees the opportunity in the challenge of this environment, viewing loyalty programs as ways to stay competitive and innovate, ultimately solving for utopian consumer experiences and increasing revenues.

Prior to founding his current company Linkable Networks, a digital media company focused on Card Linked Offers, Mr. Burgess founded Third Screen Media, a wireless advertising company that set the standard globally for wireless advertising.

Third Screen Media was purchased by AOL/TW in May of 2007. Prior to his tenure at Third Screen Media, Burgess served as President of internet portal Collegelink.com where he guided the company to a successful public offering and later orchestrated a sale to Monster.com. He also served as founder and CEO of 9th Square Inc. (later re-branded as Bluestreak.com) and e-commerce and advertising company and Echomedia, Inc. one of the first internet advertising companies. Burgess was inducted into the Entrepreneur Hall of Fame for superior performance by Blue Chip Ventures. Burgess Earned a Bachelor of Arts from Providence College and currently resides in Rhode Island with his wife and two children.

As Microsoft’s General Manager of Post-Sales Monetization, Eduardo is responsible for growing monetization through increased user engagement across all devices within and across Microsoft’s portfolio of products and services.

Over the course of his career, Indacochea has held a variety of leadership roles in engineering, product management, strategy, marketing, and finance. Previously, he was responsible of Global Relationship Marketing of Outlook.com, OneDrive, Internet Explorer, Surface, Hotmail, and Messenger.

Before joining Microsoft in 2007, Indacochea led strategy and planning teams at Nextel Peru. Indacochea began his career as Peruvian Navy Officer. He had a number of leadership positions in engineering and communications during his tenure at the Navy.

A native of Lima, Peru; Indacochea earned a bachelor’s degree in Maritime Science from Escuela Naval del Peru, where he was appointed as Battalion Commander and awarded Sword of Honor distinction; Naval Engineering from Universidad Nacional de Ingenieria (Peru), Master of Industrial Engineering from Universidad de Lima (Peru) and an MBA Ross School of Business at University of Michigan. He is married, has two children, and lives in Kirkland, WA.

P.J. Linarducci is the head of Payment and Commerce Partnerships at Facebook. In this role, P.J. is responsible for operating Facebook’s multi-billion dollar payment processing platform, and developing new product initiatives at the intersection of payments, commerce, social networking, and advertising.

Prior to Facebook, P.J. developed mobile and point-of-sale products and partnerships at PayPal and various start-ups. P.J. started his career advising the commercial banking industry as a consultant with First Manhattan Consulting Group. P.J. has degrees in electrical engineering and computer science from Duke University, and an MBA from Stanford University.

With over 13 years of experience at Excentus, Brandon Logsdon has been the driving force behind developing a first-of-kind, nationwide coalition program and engaging in strategic relationships with our cornerstone partners, Shell and MasterCard. In his role as CEO, Brandon is also a member of the Excentus Board of Directors, and he oversees three strategic Excentus business units – the Fuel Rewards coalition program, our subsidiary Centego, which provides enabling technology and services for private-label fuel reward programs and managing our IP portfolio. Prior to joining Excentus in 2002, Brandon worked at GTE Internetworking, JPMorgan Chase, iChoose and he was also the Co-founder and Principal at Bloomin’ Partners Inc.

Brandon holds a BA in Finance and Marketing from Texas Christian University (Go Frogs) and he is a board member for the North Texas chapter of the Folds of Honor foundation. When he’s not spending time with his wife and three children, you’ll find him making triple doubles on the court or chasing that elusive hole-in-one.

Dale McCrory is a senior leader in Card-linking Services, Loyalty and CRM innovation at First Data Corporation, where she is responsible for Strategy, Business Development, Product Development, and Commercialization. Dale has led the development of internal and external partners to launch technology solutions that drive value through the collision of Payments and Advertising. This includes enterprise offers platforms, POS integration, offer syndication and affiliate marketing, consumer segmentation and campaign analytics for Ad Sales and Advertising Publishing organizations delivering targeted marketing, CRM and loyalty solutions.

Prior to joining First Data, she was Vice President at TSYS for over 12 years, where she led several functional teams during that tenure, including Product Strategy & Development, Professional Services, Client Relationship Management, Program Analytics and Marketing, Client Conversions and Implementation and Operations. She played a critical role in the design, launch and growth of loyalty programs in the Financial Services space throughout North American, including programs for global, national and regional organizations such as Cap One, Citibank, JP Morgan Chase, Wells Fargo, Royal Bank of Scotland, Sears, and The Home Depot.

Kirsty brings a wealth of loyalty knowledge and expertise having been the Co-CEO of Pinpoint Pty Ltd, one of Asia Pacific’s leading loyalty and marketing service companies with offices in Australia, China, Singapore, Hong Kong, India, Japan and Taiwan. During her 20+ year tenure at Pinpoint, Kirsty was instrumental in the growth of the company to over 500 employees where she developed highly successful, award winning loyalty and marketing programs across a broad range of industry verticals including financial services, retail, travel and entertainment. Pinpoint was acquired by MasterCard in July 2014.

Prior to Pinpoint, Kirsty worked at Qantas and American Express.

Kirsty holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of New South Wales where she was a University Medallist. In Australia, she was a board member of ADMA, the leading marketing and advertising association and an advisory board member for Visit California. She is currently living in California where she works out of the MasterCard Office in San Carlos.

Bruce Sattley is the senior vice president, corporate development and strategy at Quotient, formerly Coupons.com Incorporated, responsible for developing and executing strategic plans across all areas of the business.

Previously, Sattley was the senior vice president of product management and oversaw the company’s product management functions, including product strategy, product research and definition, user experience testing and launch planning.

Mr. Sattley joined the company in 2010 and brings 20 years of experience in product management, engineering and marketing. Mr. Sattley spent six years at Yahoo!, where he most recently was vice president of product management. In this role, he managed multiple groups to drive development for analytics, business intelligence and data warehousing products for the Strategic Data Solutions and Advertising Products teams. Mr. Sattley left Yahoo! in 2009 to join Healthiest You, where he was vice president of product management and on the founding team for this provider of unique, brain-based online programs. Before joining Yahoo!, he was vice president of marketing at infoUSA, a leading online direct marketing company. Before that, he held a range of product marketing and engineering positions at YesMail, Netcentives, Inc., Post Communications, Lotus Development Corp., Ernst & Young LLP, and Electronic Data Systems (EDS).

Sabine Brunthaler has longstanding, international experience in client-facing advisory roles in professional B2B services providing strategic business support to senior leaders of large and mid-sized global organizations. Most recently with Boyden Executive Search, Sabine was the Lead Partner for Finance and Life Sciences in Switzerland. Additionally, as a committee member of the British-Swiss Chamber of Commerce, she helped member organizations grow in the UK and continental Europe.

Before that, Sabine was CEB’s Director Member Services for their European Finance Practice offering best practice research for management strategies and serving over 150 of Europe’s leading organizations across industries. Her earlier experiences include working for CEB’s IT Practice in new member acquisition, developing marketing strategies for an American software company as well as managing a team of 150 trainers in adult education.

She holds a humanities degree from the University of Vienna and an Austrian diploma in training management. Sabine received her marketing qualifications in the UK with the Chartered Institute of Marketing. Her MBA at London Guildhall University (now London Metropolitan University) allowed her to analyze consulting needs for human resources, information technology and finance in organizations across Europe, an area of additional research for the past two years. Sabine is fluent in German, English, and French.

Ming Lacey is the PR Director of The CardLinx Association.
She directs media outreach and strategy, manages social media engagement, explores strategic partnerships and identifies conference and journalist interviews/ speaking opportunities for CardLinx and its members.
Ming’s communications career began in New York City as the PR and Communications Manager for The Reserve, a money fund company. After managing crisis and triage communications at The Reserve, Ming joined Rubenstein Associates as Assistant Vice President in the financial and legal group where she helped financial services institutions, law firms and non-profit organizations to amplify their messages to the business media. Following a move to Portland, Oregon, Ming worked at LANE PR as Account Director overseeing their largest agency accounts with regional community banks and financial institutions.

Prior to her work in public relations, Ming started her career in the financial services industry as a portfolio assistant at Alliance Bernstein managing municipal bond funds. Then she worked at Citigroup in Hong Kong and New York for five years in varying capacities in the Corporate Realty Services and Global Transaction Services divisions where she focused on marketing, branding and internal communications. Ming is a graduate of the University of Chicago and received a B.A. in Economics.
